Groups and Activities from the
LGBTQ 50+ Alliance
The LGBTQ 50+ Alliance supports and enriches the lives of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBTQ) people 50 years and older, with the goal of successfully aging. In this effort, we provide a broad array of social, educational, and support services to the LGBTQ Community 50+ and over, all of which are free or low-cost

Since so many LGBTQ older adults remain or are forced back into the closet, often feel isolated, depressed and lonely, having services specifically for seniors provides a safe and nurturing environment for this often and neglected part of our community.

In addition to helping the LGBTQ 50+ community we also help build community and support networks, we also provide information and referral services to existing LGBTQ-friendly senior service providers. Most often, LGBTQ seniors seek services and referrals related to affordable housing, benefits, home health assistance, bereavement, isolation, and loneliness, as well as mental health and legal issues or economic concerns.
