Exploring Spirituality is back!
Rory will be leading a discussion about  current COVID-19 but in a “cultural context”.
Neil DeGrasse Tyson  is interviewed by a young Black man who is clearly both knowledgeable, smart and funny. That might seem counterintuitive when talking about viral devastation,  but emphasizes the “we are all in it together” approach combined with scientific thinking. It makes scientific points but also gives a hopeful pathway forward.
Please review the Youtube attached below, and Rory will send the questions for discussion as an attachment in a following email. Remember to join us August 6  on Zoom (link above).

NEXT MEETING: AUGUST 19, 2020 AT 4PM

Senior Scam Overview
For more than 100 years, the Better Business Bureau (BBB) has been helping consumers find businesses, brands and charities they can trust.  In 2019, consumers turned to BBB more than 183 million times for BBB Business Profiles on more than 5.8 million businesses, and Charity Reports on 11,000 charities, all for free on BBB.org.  The BBB also collects consumer data on scams via the BBB ScamTracker tool.  In turn, reported information helps BBB investigate illegal schemes and fraud, and also helps to warn others. In this all-encompassing presentation and discussion, you’ll learn about the latest scams targeting seniors, how to spot the scams and what to do if you or a loved one becomes a victim.

It’s almost the fourth of July. A celebration of freedom for most of us. June was a time of reflection for me. With the protesting, unnecessary deaths, and constant conversations in our Zoom meetings this month, we still don’t know how to embrace each other. We are the elders, and yet our youth are leading the outcry for equality for all. Let’s keep the conversation alive and bring peace, love and equality to every person. In the meanwhile join us on Zoom this month to keep the conversation going, and really make change!  share your stories, your memories, and your PRIDE!
